Narrative:

Captain announced 'prepare for landing,' flight attendants proceeded to prepare cabin galleys. I was flight attendant #2 in charge of securing the aft galley when suddenly we landed (approximately 2 mins from captain announcement). According to procedures, we are usually given 10-15 mins preparation time. Captain explained the runway was suddenly changed resulting in our unexpected landing. My lower back seemed affected by jolt, I felt compression, discomfort and after approximately 1 hour a burning sensation in lower back. I deadheaded back to dfw and continued home to houston where I saw my doctor for treatment. Currently undergoing treatment for lower back injury.
