Narrative:
We were instructed to hold southeast of anjee as published with leg lengths pilot's discretion. I was PNF, our efc was XA30 local (45 mins hold). Having just finished holding for 40 mins at another fix (bsr) I was in the process of advising our passenger of the situation and what options were available for them. The primary passenger was quite upset and had come forward to the cockpit to see if there were any other options. The PF was distracted from flying the aircraft and did not recognize that he had arrived at our new clearance limit (anjee intersection) and allowed the aircraft to fly past the fix by 10 mi before ATC called his attention to the problem. They gave us a heading to reverse course (160 degrees). This excursion could have been avoided if both the PF and PNF had not allowed the passenger to distract them from monitoring the aircraft's navigation. Only 1 pilot was necessary to explain to the passenger the options while the other flew the aircraft. No evasive action was necessary nor was there any further responses regarding the excursion by ATC.

Title: ASTRA JET CPR ACFT INSTRUCTED TO HOLD AT FIX, FLC DISTRACTED BY IRATE PAX, FLEW PAST HOLDING FIX UNTIL ATC INTERVENED.
Narrative: WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SE OF ANJEE AS PUBLISHED WITH LEG LENGTHS PLT'S DISCRETION. I WAS PNF, OUR EFC WAS XA30 LCL (45 MINS HOLD). HAVING JUST FINISHED HOLDING FOR 40 MINS AT ANOTHER FIX (BSR) I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF ADVISING OUR PAX OF THE SIT AND WHAT OPTIONS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THEM. THE PRIMARY PAX WAS QUITE UPSET AND HAD COME FORWARD TO THE COCKPIT TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER OPTIONS. THE PF WAS DISTRACTED FROM FLYING THE ACFT AND DID NOT RECOGNIZE THAT HE HAD ARRIVED AT OUR NEW CLRNC LIMIT (ANJEE INTXN) AND ALLOWED THE ACFT TO FLY PAST THE FIX BY 10 MI BEFORE ATC CALLED HIS ATTN TO THE PROB. THEY GAVE US A HEADING TO REVERSE COURSE (160 DEGS). THIS EXCURSION COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF BOTH THE PF AND PNF HAD NOT ALLOWED THE PAX TO DISTRACT THEM FROM MONITORING THE ACFT'S NAV. ONLY 1 PLT WAS NECESSARY TO EXPLAIN TO THE PAX THE OPTIONS WHILE THE OTHER FLEW THE ACFT. NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS NECESSARY NOR WAS THERE ANY FURTHER RESPONSES REGARDING THE EXCURSION BY ATC.
