Narrative:

I did not witness the disruption that occurred in coach class. I was in business class during the incident and did not see conflict arise. I did notice flight attendant #10 and his injuries after the incident. He had facial bruises, bite marks to the ear, and a ripped shirt as a result of the incident. I do believe that at times like these, I feel very vulnerable to physical aggression from passenger. Incidents like these make me feel a lack of personal security/protection as a crew member. Physical aggression in the air should not be tolerated by anyone -- whether it be a passenger or crew member. More action should be taken to prevent violence onboard airplanes. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated flight crew member went into the cabin to address the passenger that injured the flight attendant. Injured flight attendant remained in cockpit for the remainder of flight. Auths in mia met aircraft upon arrival and escorted assaulting passenger into customs area to be detained for questioning. Witness reports were taken from passenger and flight attendants who were in the area of the altercation during the flight. Reporter did not know the final outcome of incident. Supplemental information from acn 403187: cockpit crew refused to return to buenos aires, but had auths meet passenger involved in mia. Passenger said flight attendant had a 'bad attitude.'

I DID NOTICE FLT ATTENDANT #10 AND HIS INJURIES AFTER THE INCIDENT. HE HAD FACIAL BRUISES, BITE MARKS TO THE EAR, AND A RIPPED SHIRT AS A RESULT OF THE INCIDENT. I DO BELIEVE THAT AT TIMES LIKE THESE, I FEEL VERY VULNERABLE TO PHYSICAL AGGRESSION FROM PAX. INCIDENTS LIKE THESE MAKE ME FEEL A LACK OF PERSONAL SECURITY/PROTECTION AS A CREW MEMBER. PHYSICAL AGGRESSION IN THE AIR SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED BY ANYONE -- WHETHER IT BE A PAX OR CREW MEMBER. MORE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PREVENT VIOLENCE ONBOARD AIRPLANES.
