Narrative:
At andde intersection on arrival into msp, level at 9000 ft MSL, we got a TCASII RA to climb of 2000 FPM. Altitude before clear of conflict was 10000 ft MSL. During this maneuver ATC gave us a descent to 8000 ft MSL. Other jet, the conflict, was moving from our 11 O'clock position to our 2 O'clock position on what looked like departure from msp. Closest approach was 2 1/2 NM at 500 ft below. He also had an RA and was maneuvering too. No other traffic conflicts seemed to be present.
