Narrative:

Radar vector departure out of mco with scattered thunderstorms in the area. Departure instructed a heading change from 310 degrees to 360 degrees. This heading change pointed us at a cloud build up. The PF (captain) became focused on trying to climb over the build up. The copilot called passing 14000 ft (the assigned altitude). The aircraft peaked at 14500 ft before returning to 14000 ft. No conflict was noted.
