Narrative:
Frequency/altitude: 118.55/11000 ft. ATC facility: dfw departure. Location: 15 NM east of dfw. On our climb out we nearly missed a light single engine aircraft. We were climbing out of 11000 ft to 17000 ft. We received a TA/RA to descend. We did and missed the aircraft less than 300 ft. ATC said that he just popped up. It appeared to be a light single engine, possible jump aircraft.
