Narrative:
I changed a fuel quantity gauge on #2 tank per air carrier maintenance job card. I thought all gauges were precalibrated. I arrived the next day, finding out they had a quantity problem because I didn't calibrate the gauge. I also found out certain aircraft have precalibrated gauges and some you have to calibrate.

Title: A B737-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITH A #2 FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR REPLACED BUT NOT CALIBRATED PER THE MAINT MANUAL.
Narrative: I CHANGED A FUEL QUANTITY GAUGE ON #2 TANK PER ACR MAINT JOB CARD. I THOUGHT ALL GAUGES WERE PRECALIBRATED. I ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY, FINDING OUT THEY HAD A QUANTITY PROB BECAUSE I DIDN'T CALIBRATE THE GAUGE. I ALSO FOUND OUT CERTAIN ACFT HAVE PRECALIBRATED GAUGES AND SOME YOU HAVE TO CALIBRATE.
