Narrative:
On flight from dfw to mia we had to shut an engine down and return to land at dfw. We also had to dump fuel and spent the next 30-45 mins preparing for the 2 engine landing that might also include emergency evacuate/evacuation. My question is that after deplaning the passenger, a flight attendant supervisor came on board and took the flight attendants off the flight and deadheaded them home. I called tracking and asked if this was an option for us as none of us had ever been through that sort of thing. Yes I know that this is what we are trained for, but we all were still nervous about the situation and were wondering if they intended to also take us off the flight and the tracker said, 'no, that was not an option.' why not? I have talked to a check airman and he said we should have been taken off.
