Narrative:
Confusion about taxi instructions led to crossing an active runway with no clearance. I misunderstood the instruction, although first officer was uncertain of the crossing the active runway. I feel because he was new this led me to believe I was right.

Narrative: CONFUSION ABOUT TAXI INSTRUCTIONS LED TO XING AN ACTIVE RWY WITH NO CLRNC. I MISUNDERSTOOD THE INSTRUCTION, ALTHOUGH FO WAS UNCERTAIN OF THE XING THE ACTIVE RWY. I FEEL BECAUSE HE WAS NEW THIS LED ME TO BELIEVE I WAS RIGHT.
