Narrative:

I got involved helping co-worker by replacing pneumatic tube on #1 engine. In order to replace the line we ended up loosening 2 each additional lines, which one was engine oil scavenger line. After removing the old line and positioning the new one, since it was his job and I was helping, I told him it's break time and I'm going to take a break. After I came back, I asked him can I help with anything else. He said everything is tight. I said you want me to do safetying. He said sounds good, and I safetied 5 or 6 tube fittings which I know it was loose, and I left. When I came back from my days off, I found out one of those fittings came loose and lost the oil and caused the engine shutdown. Note: I'm air carrier abc mechanic and the aircraft was air carrier xyz B757.
