Narrative:
We crossed the approach end of an active takeoff only runway. The new first officer picked up the taxi clearance. 'Runway 24, taxi taxiway a, hold short runway 17 at taxiway B.' when I inquired about the departure runway, he answered runway 17, hold at taxiway B. After we crossed runway 17 with the tower's permission, I proceeded to runway 17, thus crossing runway 24. Landing runway was runway 17. Supplemental information from acn 408450: we crossed the approach end of an active takeoff only runway. I picked up the taxi clearance 'runway 24, taxi taxiway a, hold short runway 17 at taxiway B.' when the captain asked if we're going to runway 17 I replied 'we're going to hold short of runway 17 at taxiway B.' after we were cleared to cross runway 17 at taxiway B we proceeded to the approach end of runway 17, thus crossing runway 24.
