Narrative:
Tower cleared 3 aircraft to cross runway 18L. We were the #3 aircraft and clearly acknowledged. We, as the #3 aircraft, were about to cross when tower cleared an aircraft Y for takeoff. We abruptly stopped and advised tower that we were cleared to cross, but were now holding short. Tower stated that ground radar showed us to be clear of the runway.
