Narrative:
Entered ramp area for gate X. Marshaller was in position with wands, wing walkers were on both sides of aircraft, and jetway driver was on jetway. Marshaller guided us forward on j-line. At no time did wing walkers, jetway driver, or marshaller attempt to stop us. I moved aircraft forward at a very slow rate, marshaller indicated we had to continue forward approximately 2 ft when I felt a bump. Stopped aircraft, shut down engine immediately. Marshaller continued to indicate that aircraft should move forward. At this time the left wing walker ran forward to marshaller indicating he should stop the aircraft. We struck jetway with the left engine intake. When we initially entered ramp, all equipment, people, appeared to be in proper position. Unidented passenger in first class stated to flight attendant that jetway moved sideways as aircraft slowed, striking left engine intake.

Narrative: ENTERED RAMP AREA FOR GATE X. MARSHALLER WAS IN POS WITH WANDS, WING WALKERS WERE ON BOTH SIDES OF ACFT, AND JETWAY DRIVER WAS ON JETWAY. MARSHALLER GUIDED US FORWARD ON J-LINE. AT NO TIME DID WING WALKERS, JETWAY DRIVER, OR MARSHALLER ATTEMPT TO STOP US. I MOVED ACFT FORWARD AT A VERY SLOW RATE, MARSHALLER INDICATED WE HAD TO CONTINUE FORWARD APPROX 2 FT WHEN I FELT A BUMP. STOPPED ACFT, SHUT DOWN ENG IMMEDIATELY. MARSHALLER CONTINUED TO INDICATE THAT ACFT SHOULD MOVE FORWARD. AT THIS TIME THE L WING WALKER RAN FORWARD TO MARSHALLER INDICATING HE SHOULD STOP THE ACFT. WE STRUCK JETWAY WITH THE L ENG INTAKE. WHEN WE INITIALLY ENTERED RAMP, ALL EQUIP, PEOPLE, APPEARED TO BE IN PROPER POS. UNIDENTED PAX IN FIRST CLASS STATED TO FLT ATTENDANT THAT JETWAY MOVED SIDEWAYS AS ACFT SLOWED, STRIKING L ENG INTAKE.
