Narrative:

XA40 departure from ZZZ-YYY with heavy rain. Our normal procedure is to power back out of the gate but because of the heavy rain we could not. We do not have a tug at ZZZ so we need to borrow one, which means take a delay. Third option is to taxi out with a right turn. We also had heavy rain which made it tough to see and kept you looking down rather than up into the rain. The marshaller had done these taxi outs many times before and knew if the jetway was pulled all the way back and the aircraft turned out from the parking spot it would all clear. Problem was, the jetway was not all the way back and the wingtip did not clear. I think this is a good example of people not really paying attention to the job they are doing because they've done it so many times in the past.
