Narrative:
VFR return to home base, ump, called 5.8 NM southwest of field after being handed off from ind approach flight following. When called position and requested airport advisory from unicom (123.0), pilot in pattern called pattern for runway 15. I announced would enter downwind for runway 15. I had just departed runway 33 about 45 mins prior to return to airport after dropping off passenger at frh. I proceeded to enter downwind and base for runway 33. As I entered final for runway 33 a pilot departing runway 15 called to me to tell me I was on final for runway 33, not runway 15. He was above me and banking to right. I banked to right to downwind runway 15 pattern. I had been busy messing with autoplt just prior to handoff from approach, and had a mindset for landing on runway 33. Winds were crosswind out of the e-ne. Even though I said 'runway 15' I flew a perfect pattern for runway 33. There were 3 planes on the run-up area as well as the departing traffic. No one noticed my position until turn to final. I should have looked closer at the runway traffic, not just what was in front of me. There was not much traffic in the air at the time.

Title: PLT OF SMT PLANS TO LAND ON RWY 15 AT NON TWR ARPT. HE LINES UP FOR RWY 33 INSTEAD AND IS ALERTED BY A PLT DEPARTING RWY 15. A QUICK CHANGE TO THE PROPER RWY IS ACCOMPLISHED.
Narrative: VFR RETURN TO HOME BASE, UMP, CALLED 5.8 NM SW OF FIELD AFTER BEING HANDED OFF FROM IND APCH FLT FOLLOWING. WHEN CALLED POS AND REQUESTED ARPT ADVISORY FROM UNICOM (123.0), PLT IN PATTERN CALLED PATTERN FOR RWY 15. I ANNOUNCED WOULD ENTER DOWNWIND FOR RWY 15. I HAD BEEN BUSY MESSING WITH AUTOPLT JUST PRIOR TO HDOF FROM APCH, AND HAD A MINDSET FOR LNDG ON RWY 33. WINDS WERE XWIND OUT OF THE E-NE. EVEN THOUGH I SAID 'RWY 15' I FLEW A PERFECT PATTERN FOR RWY 33. THERE WERE 3 PLANES ON THE RUN-UP AREA AS WELL AS THE DEPARTING TFC. NO ONE NOTICED MY POS UNTIL TURN TO FINAL. I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED CLOSER AT THE RWY TFC, NOT JUST WHAT WAS IN FRONT OF ME. THERE WAS NOT MUCH TFC IN THE AIR AT THE TIME.
