Narrative:
Engine failure on takeoff. #3 engine failed on takeoff roll. Aborted takeoff prior to 70 KTS. A definite vibration was felt in #3 throttle. Shutdown #3 engine in accordance with operating manual. No problem in clearing runway, and taxied to gate. Inspection by maintenance personnel found blades missing from aft turbine.

Narrative: ENG FAILURE ON TKOF. #3 ENG FAILED ON TKOF ROLL. ABORTED TKOF PRIOR TO 70 KTS. A DEFINITE VIBRATION WAS FELT IN #3 THROTTLE. SHUTDOWN #3 ENG IN ACCORDANCE WITH OPERATING MANUAL. NO PROB IN CLRING RWY, AND TAXIED TO GATE. INSPECTION BY MAINT PERSONNEL FOUND BLADES MISSING FROM AFT TURBINE.
