Narrative:

Before we taxied out for takeoff, we discovered a mechanical problem and returned to the ramp. Our maintenance found the problem and indicated less than 1 hour to repair. We had 4 jump seaters that were listed on the weight and balance. They chose to deplane for another flight. After the repair, we took off 1 hour late and later realized we didn't get new weight and balance showing no jump seaters. Supplemental information from acn 410426: no freight was added or deleted and all the ramp personnel were loading other aircraft. Next time I will certainly keep better tabs on our jump seaters, where they are, and if our paperwork agrees.
