Narrative:

Nose gear failed to retract after takeoff. After consulting QRH we returned to departure airport. Nose pin was found to be still installed in nose gear. Aircraft was pushed back in heavy rain with additional baggage loaded prior to departing the gate. It later was discovered that an agent had showed us a gear pin from another tug. Apparently it was thought we were pushed without nose pin installed.
