Narrative:
Right main gear indicated not locked. All avenues were taken to lock gear. Landed psm, saw downlock resting on brace (not locked). I pushed downlock over brace and all indications were normal (down and locked visually and cockpit indications). I wrote up the airplane and called the company on call maintenance a&P. He said to fly the plane gear down to bdr. I did. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft landed ok but on inspection of the right main gear the downlock had failed and the downlock was out of position. The reporter said by pushing on the downlock it slipped into the lock position. The reporter stated the aircraft was then maintenance ferried gear down to be repaired.
