Narrative:
En route to ewr on shaff 3 arrival, cleared to hold as published at helon, 12000 ft. Autoplt/FMC operation. We entered the hold, parallel procedure. Within 30 seconds of turn, we saw skydivers at 12 O'clock and a jump aircraft approximately 2000 ft overhead wbound. 3 more divers exited aircraft, distance approximately 1 mi. We tightened turn and notified ATC that we were deviating and were immediately given 'left turn 360 degrees, descend to 11000 ft, then left to shaff and hold.'
