Narrative:
Captain's leg on flight to oak from den. Captain's health and performance satisfactory and uneventful through landing at oak. After clearing the runway, I heard captain ask first officer to taxi the aircraft and saw the captain hunched over and obviously feeling faint. Control of aircraft never compromised. First officer taxied the aircraft to a stop at midfield away from terminal. Captain asked for trash bag and vomited into it. First officer and myself made radio calls to ground control and company (at station). Arranged for company to tow aircraft to gate on APU power with engines shut down. Informed flight attendants of situation. During tow to gate, captain went to restroom and returned to cockpit. Emt personnel met captain at gate and transported him to local hospital for tests. Passenger deplaned uneventfully while emt personnel conversed with captain in cockpit while taking his vital signs. No real lessons learned. Source of captain's distress/sickness unknown to me. Continued trip with new captain from san francisco after a short delay.
