Narrative:

Bwi-msy. On initial climb passing 13000 ft, the #1 engine overheat light illuminated. The aircraft was leveled off and the overheat checklist was accomplished. When #1 throttle was retarded as per the checklist, the overheat light went out. A reduced thrust on #1 approach and landing return to bwi was uneventfully accomplished. Emergency was not declared. Engine was not shut down.

Title: A RETURN LAND IS MANDATED FOR A B737-200 WHEN THE ENG OVERHEAT WARNING IS ACTIVATED.

Narrative: BWI-MSY. ON INITIAL CLB PASSING 13000 FT, THE #1 ENG OVERHEAT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE ACFT WAS LEVELED OFF AND THE OVERHEAT CHKLIST WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
