Narrative:
After departing mci, ZKC rerted us vil-tul-BYP3. FMS was programmed tul direct byp then BYP3. After tul, ZFW questioned our position, saying we were west of course. We were at FL280. FMS was improperly programmed, leaving out the mamee transition. We did not check the FMS against the chart as we should have. In the future, will ensure that clearance FMS and chart all agree. Supplemental information from acn 415221: controller said we should be on the 035 degree radial inbound to byp (via mamee).
