Narrative:

During approach to cmh, oh. All checklists for descent, approach, and before landing were accomplished in the normal sequence with no omissions. There was WX in the vicinity of columbus, which required aircraft flight path deviation to circumnav isolated areas en route to the airport. While maneuvering for the arrival, one checklist step on the checklist (approach checklist) requires the no smoking/chime switch to be cycled. It was during this step that the seat belt light switch was inadvertently switched off. The aircraft landed and taxied to the gate uneventfully. At no time during the approach, landing, or taxi phases did a passenger get up.
