Narrative:
Aircraft X arrived ZZZ with PIREP for ram door full open light illuminated. Contract maintenance assisted in applying MEL to secure the system inoperative and secure the aircraft for flight. It was later determined by ZZZ1 maintenance that the MEL did not appear properly secured. Company ZZZ1 maintenance re-accomplished MEL procedures and accomplished required log entries. Review of office notes revealed that I had accomplished company MEL readback procedure per B737-700/-800/-900 procedure rather than the B737-200/-400. Although the intent of the maintenance procedure of disconnecting the ram door actuator control rod and electrical connector as well as securing the ram door in-flight open is the same; the nose gear procedure has the added steps of opening and re-securing the system circuit breakers. These steps were also accomplished.
