Narrative:
While training another specialist on the sector 21 radar position my trainee issued control instruction to aircraft X to descend from 140 to 080. Shortly after the clearance was issued the conflict alert activated with the data block for aircraft Y appearing on our scope. The data blocks were initially overlapped and I could not immediately ascertain the aircraft Y altitude. After moving the data block of aircraft X whose last known altitude was approximately 132 I issued instructions for aircraft X to expedite his descent through 120. The d-side controller had received a pointout on aircraft Y deviating into my sector for WX but subsequently dropped the data block 45 seconds after approving the pointout and never conferred with my trainee or I about the aircraft and its intentions. Subsequently the aircraft ended up flying through my sector as a limited data block only and I was never aware of it until the conflict alert activated. Training and WX were definitely a factor by causing possible obscurement of the limited data block and distrs while discussing training scenarios.

Title: ZMA CTLR DESCRIBED OPERROR WHILE CONDUCTING OJT WHEN RADAR ASSOC CTLR FAILED TO COORD CONFLICTING WX DIVERT ACFT ENTERING AIRSPACE.
Narrative: WHILE TRAINING ANOTHER SPECIALIST ON THE SECTOR 21 RADAR POS MY TRAINEE ISSUED CTL INSTRUCTION TO ACFT X TO DSND FROM 140 TO 080. SHORTLY AFTER THE CLRNC WAS ISSUED THE CONFLICT ALERT ACTIVATED WITH THE DATA BLOCK FOR ACFT Y APPEARING ON OUR SCOPE. THE DATA BLOCKS WERE INITIALLY OVERLAPPED AND I COULD NOT IMMEDIATELY ASCERTAIN THE ACFT Y ALT. AFTER MOVING THE DATA BLOCK OF ACFT X WHOSE LAST KNOWN ALT WAS APPROX 132 I ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACFT X TO EXPEDITE HIS DSCNT THROUGH 120. THE D-SIDE CTLR HAD RECEIVED A POINTOUT ON ACFT Y DEVIATING INTO MY SECTOR FOR WX BUT SUBSEQUENTLY DROPPED THE DATA BLOCK 45 SECONDS AFTER APPROVING THE POINTOUT AND NEVER CONFERRED WITH MY TRAINEE OR I ABOUT THE ACFT AND ITS INTENTIONS. SUBSEQUENTLY THE ACFT ENDED UP FLYING THROUGH MY SECTOR AS A LIMITED DATA BLOCK ONLY AND I WAS NEVER AWARE OF IT UNTIL THE CONFLICT ALERT ACTIVATED. TRAINING AND WX WERE DEFINITELY A FACTOR BY CAUSING POSSIBLE OBSCUREMENT OF THE LIMITED DATA BLOCK AND DISTRS WHILE DISCUSSING TRAINING SCENARIOS.
