Deadheading, sitting next to a passenger on a flight, she asked why the flight attendant was pointing to track lighting that wasn't there. On this aircraft, lights had been attached to side of seats. Suggested to company that briefing be changed to reflect modification, so passenger know where to look for guidance.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT GIVES ERRONEOUS SAFETY BRIEFING AT CVG.
Narrative: DEADHEADING, SITTING NEXT TO A PAX ON A FLT, SHE ASKED WHY THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS POINTING TO TRACK LIGHTING THAT WASN'T THERE. ON THIS ACFT, LIGHTS HAD BEEN ATTACHED TO SIDE OF SEATS. SUGGESTED TO COMPANY THAT BRIEFING BE CHANGED TO REFLECT MODIFICATION, SO PAX KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR GUIDANCE.
