Narrative:

After we departed dfw, there was a problem with the oil pressure in the #3 engine. Captain said it seemed to correct itself and all was well, and we would not have to land in bna as he previously thought. On descent into phl, the problem resurfaced and worsened, so the captain shut down engine to protect the engine. The landing went great. Captain advised passenger of situation, and fire trucks met flight. Aircraft was removed from service.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING AN ENG SHUTDOWN DURING DSCNT.

Narrative: AFTER WE DEPARTED DFW, THERE WAS A PROB WITH THE OIL PRESSURE IN THE #3 ENG. CAPT SAID IT SEEMED TO CORRECT ITSELF AND ALL WAS WELL, AND WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO LAND IN BNA AS HE PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT. ON DSCNT INTO PHL, THE PROB RESURFACED AND WORSENED, SO THE CAPT SHUT DOWN ENG TO PROTECT THE ENG. THE LNDG WENT GREAT. CAPT ADVISED PAX OF SIT, AND FIRE TRUCKS MET FLT. ACFT WAS REMOVED FROM SVC.
