Narrative:

After passing cie, set outbound course of 031 degrees, mistaking cie for sso. Flight plan was to proceed direct sso out of cie. Center called us off course approximately 15 mi south of sso. Center did inform us that there was an area traffic and he had planned us over sso. He had us maintain our present heading for vectors to socorro. We passed 5 mi west of sso. Crew had verified outbound course, however, both mistook cie for sso.
