Narrative:
Misjudged fuel on board for flight from hayden, co, to north las vegas, nv. Was forced to land at panquitch, ut, due to fuel starvation. Both engines failed prior to touchdown. No injuries or property/equipment damage resulted. Incident was due entirely to poor flight planning and should not reflect negatively on anyone other than the pilot. Erroneous fuel quantity indications were a contributing factor, but proper flight planning would have revealed the error and resulted in avoidance of this problem.
