Narrative:
XA16Z, manaus control frequency, FL330. Manaus control. Location: 42 mi north of atf. At XA16 on oct/xa/98, while level at FL330, received a TA of oncoming traffic co-altitude approximately 10 mi out. At 7 mi, received RA to climb. Followed RA climbing to FL337. Air carrier Y passed below and to right, 2000 ft separation. Advised manaus control who did not respond to us but apparently queried air carrier Y in portuguese. Incident occurred 42 mi north of atf.
