Narrative:
Cleared for a visual on runway 1L. During our turn onto final, TCASII indicated an aircraft approaching from the right 2 O'clock position, 300 ft below. No calls from tower or arrival prior to handover. Near miss occurred just after contacting tower. We continued our left turn to clear a B737. He had been cleared for runway 1R. Called tower after landing. The B737 crew apologized. We did not feel ill at ease at any time the B737 had ended up below us on course for runway 1L, not runway 1R.
