Narrative:
Jet blast arriving at mia. A hazard exists when landing on runway 12 at mia while another aircraft is departing on runway 9L. A B727 departed just as we were between 200 ft and 100 ft on approach. We experienced significant jet blast. We were slightly high due to following a B757. I expected the jet blast, and it was not B757 wake turbulence, in my opinion. The B757 was 5 mi ahead. I have experienced arrival wake turbulence from a B757 and this was not it. We felt jet blast.
