Narrative:
Approximately 70 NM west of alamosa, co, at FL410 detected burning odor. Followed all required checklists and procedures and, after consultation with company, elected to divert to den as nearest suitable airport due to operational familiarity, existing WX conditions, and excellent fire fighting/evacuate/evacuation handling capabilities. Dispatch coordinated emergency equipment. Uneventful landing at den. Maintenance subsequently discovered probable bearing failure in left recirculation fan motor.
