Narrative:
At FL410, 70 mi northeast of lit, flight attendant reported strong fumes between rows 4 and 12. We completed emergency checklist and started emergency descent into lit. After we turned off the recirculation fans, smell seemed to dissipate. With ATC concurrence, we kept our speed at 320 KTS until 3000 ft. Made uneventful landing at lit. Maintenance found bad right recirculation fan.
