Narrative:
Both myself and my copilot forgot to reset our altimeters from 29.00 (panc local altimeter) to 29.92 as we passed by FL180. The result was the aircraft was leveled off at FL360 (in actuality) versus the assigned FL350. The error was pointed out by zan. The correct altimeter setting (29.92) was set and descent to FL350 was accomplished. No traffic conflicts occurred. The reason we missed resetting our altimeters at FL180 is unknown. I accomplished other SOP's at FL180, ie, runway turnoff lights and seatbelt sign both off, but for some reason didn't reset my altimeters.

Title: FLC OF A DC10-30 FORGOT TO RESET THEIR ALTIMETERS WHEN CLBING THROUGH FL180 RESULTING IN ARTCC RADAR CTLR INTERVENING WHEN THEY LEVELED OFF 1000 FT ABOVE ASSIGNED.
Narrative: BOTH MYSELF AND MY COPLT FORGOT TO RESET OUR ALTIMETERS FROM 29.00 (PANC LCL ALTIMETER) TO 29.92 AS WE PASSED BY FL180. THE RESULT WAS THE ACFT WAS LEVELED OFF AT FL360 (IN ACTUALITY) VERSUS THE ASSIGNED FL350. THE ERROR WAS POINTED OUT BY ZAN. THE CORRECT ALTIMETER SETTING (29.92) WAS SET AND DSCNT TO FL350 WAS ACCOMPLISHED. NO TFC CONFLICTS OCCURRED. THE REASON WE MISSED RESETTING OUR ALTIMETERS AT FL180 IS UNKNOWN. I ACCOMPLISHED OTHER SOP'S AT FL180, IE, RWY TURNOFF LIGHTS AND SEATBELT SIGN BOTH OFF, BUT FOR SOME REASON DIDN'T RESET MY ALTIMETERS.
