Narrative:
Upon entering downwind, I called unicom and said I was entering downwind for runway 27, lewis university. No answer from unicom. Asked unicom if they copied me. No answer. I was looking for aircraft in the pattern. Observed a C150 taking off and heard him report. I told him that I had contact with him. I continued on downwind. No radio traffic. Before turning on base, I called that I will be turning base for runway 27 lewis university airport. On base, I reported that I was on base for runway 27 lewis university. I started to turn final after looking for traffic, and as I went for the microphone to call, I saw a red and white C150 banking left. This aircraft was a different color from the one on the ground. The red and white cessna was approximately 150 ft above me, and 100 ft to my right. The other aircraft turned left while I continued in and landed. I had red beacon on. I had 5 passenger and no one saw the aircraft until I saw it.
