Narrative:

Descent in tampa class B airspace to 1600 ft from tpa. I noticed the rough condition of tampa bay's water. I therefore was prepared for a gusty wind from the north with the choppy flight conditions being experienced. A normal approach and airspeed was obtained throughout the landing and I closed the throttle completely upon crossing the boundary. I believe a gust caused the aircraft to drop onto the mains at that time and bounced into the air somewhat. I considered momentarily electing to go around, but when I applied throttle, a bad vibration was noticed. I cut the throttle, relanded, and made normal braking to a stop. I applied little power to clear the runway to taxi to my t-hangar. There was no engine stoppage due to propeller damage at tips, nor any other aircraft component as wings, gear, belly skin, cowling or anything else was damaged. I believe, therefore, no NTSB report is due as it was an incident situation.

Title: PLT OF A MOONEY 20J-201 MADE A HARD LNDG IN GUSTY WIND CONDITIONS CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PROP TIPS.

Narrative: DSCNT IN TAMPA CLASS B AIRSPACE TO 1600 FT FROM TPA. I NOTICED THE ROUGH CONDITION OF TAMPA BAY'S WATER. I THEREFORE WAS PREPARED FOR A GUSTY WIND FROM THE N WITH THE CHOPPY FLT CONDITIONS BEING EXPERIENCED. A NORMAL APCH AND AIRSPD WAS OBTAINED THROUGHOUT THE LNDG AND I CLOSED THE THROTTLE COMPLETELY UPON XING THE BOUNDARY. I BELIEVE A GUST CAUSED THE ACFT TO DROP ONTO THE MAINS AT THAT TIME AND BOUNCED INTO THE AIR SOMEWHAT. I CONSIDERED MOMENTARILY ELECTING TO GAR, BUT WHEN I APPLIED THROTTLE, A BAD VIBRATION WAS NOTICED. I CUT THE THROTTLE, RELANDED, AND MADE NORMAL BRAKING TO A STOP. I APPLIED LITTLE PWR TO CLR THE RWY TO TAXI TO MY T-HANGAR. THERE WAS NO ENG STOPPAGE DUE TO PROP DAMAGE AT TIPS, NOR ANY OTHER ACFT COMPONENT AS WINGS, GEAR, BELLY SKIN, COWLING OR ANYTHING ELSE WAS DAMAGED. I BELIEVE, THEREFORE, NO NTSB RPT IS DUE AS IT WAS AN INCIDENT SIT.
