Narrative:
Cleared for takeoff from runway 1L at sna. While climbing out of approximately 500 ft, observed a single engine aircraft climbing off runway 1R with pitch angle above 50 degrees. To increase spacing with small aircraft, we turned 20 degrees left off runway heading to avoid aircraft, who then banked right approximately 70 degrees to turn. We climbed out and missed the aircraft at approximately 750 ft MSL, the returned to assigned heading and normal climb out. The single engine aircraft appeared to be performing aerobatic maneuvers in the traffic pattern and on takeoff, we were not told of such maneuvers occurring in the traffic pattern. The separation was approximately 400 ft when we passed the aircraft. My concern with sna departure is that we did not expect the aircraft to be performing those types of maneuvers on takeoff while we were on our takeoff roll on a 5700 ft runway fully loaded with passenger. The aircraft must have gotten hit with our wake and thrust being that close, someone could have been hurt. This is a safety problem mixing small aircraft and large transport jets at the same field with only 500 ft separation centerline to centerline. Ftw dispatch was notified and mod -- the lax chief on duty was also notified. The near midair collision report was completed with sna tower mod who informed me of the aircraft tail number.

Title: B757 FLC SUCCESSFULLY AVOIDS ACFT PERFORMING AEROBATIC MANEUVER ON TKOF FROM SNA.
Narrative: CLRED FOR TKOF FROM RWY 1L AT SNA. WHILE CLBING OUT OF APPROX 500 FT, OBSERVED A SINGLE ENG ACFT CLBING OFF RWY 1R WITH PITCH ANGLE ABOVE 50 DEGS. TO INCREASE SPACING WITH SMALL ACFT, WE TURNED 20 DEGS L OFF RWY HDG TO AVOID ACFT, WHO THEN BANKED R APPROX 70 DEGS TO TURN. WE CLBED OUT AND MISSED THE ACFT AT APPROX 750 FT MSL, THE RETURNED TO ASSIGNED HDG AND NORMAL CLBOUT. THE SINGLE ENG ACFT APPEARED TO BE PERFORMING AEROBATIC MANEUVERS IN THE TFC PATTERN AND ON TKOF, WE WERE NOT TOLD OF SUCH MANEUVERS OCCURRING IN THE TFC PATTERN. THE SEPARATION WAS APPROX 400 FT WHEN WE PASSED THE ACFT.
