Narrative:
Last night at XA30 hours on jan/xa/99, I was informed by my #2 crew chief that I may have performed an improper repair on #1 engine fan sound absorbing liner and I wish to report this incident. I also immediately notified MD80 services for follow-up.

Title: AN MD80 WAS DISPATCHED WITH AN IMPROPER REPAIR TO #1 ENG FAN INLET COWL SOUND SUPPRESSOR LINER.
Narrative: LAST NIGHT AT XA30 HRS ON JAN/XA/99, I WAS INFORMED BY MY #2 CREW CHIEF THAT I MAY HAVE PERFORMED AN IMPROPER REPAIR ON #1 ENG FAN SOUND ABSORBING LINER AND I WISH TO RPT THIS INCIDENT. I ALSO IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED MD80 SVCS FOR FOLLOW-UP.
