Narrative:
After takeoff from mdw, we were level at 4000 ft. I was taking care of after takeoff duties and looking for other traffic. The PF must have also been looking for traffic or concentrating on something else. Neither of us noticed the airspeed increasing. We received a clearance to a higher altitude. While reading back the clearance, the overspd horn went off. The climb and power reduction reduced the airspeed to 250 KIAS.
