Narrative:

On the above date, the aircraft was on the kent departure off bfi, when it experienced a primary trim failure. As the kent departure calls for a 2000 ft MSL leveloff, the PF (which on this leg was the first officer) started to level the aircraft when he noticed the trim failure. By the time the aircraft was leveled and the checklist items run, the aircraft had exceeded its 250 KT speed limit and was indicating 275 KTS. This was noted immediately and corrected for. No announcement was made by ATC. In the meanwhile, the aircraft had deviated altitude from the published 2000 ft MSL to 2300 ft MSL.

Title: WW24 CREW HAD AN ACFT TRIM PROB WHICH CAUSED ALT AND SPD DEVS.

Narrative: ON THE ABOVE DATE, THE ACFT WAS ON THE KENT DEP OFF BFI, WHEN IT EXPERIENCED A PRIMARY TRIM FAILURE. AS THE KENT DEP CALLS FOR A 2000 FT MSL LEVELOFF, THE PF (WHICH ON THIS LEG WAS THE FO) STARTED TO LEVEL THE ACFT WHEN HE NOTICED THE TRIM FAILURE. BY THE TIME THE ACFT WAS LEVELED AND THE CHKLIST ITEMS RUN, THE ACFT HAD EXCEEDED ITS 250 KT SPD LIMIT AND WAS INDICATING 275 KTS. THIS WAS NOTED IMMEDIATELY AND CORRECTED FOR. NO ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE BY ATC. IN THE MEANWHILE, THE ACFT HAD DEVIATED ALT FROM THE PUBLISHED 2000 FT MSL TO 2300 FT MSL.
