Flight crew of a cpr light transport jet struck the wingtip of a parked aircraft while repositioning their aircraft on the ramp causing minor damage to the right wingtip of their aircraft and the left wingtip of the parked aircraft.

Narrative:

While parking at GA ramp, aircraft right winglet made contact with left tip of parked aircraft. It was raining and ramp was quite dark. However in retrospect we should not have tried to make the tight fit without marshall help. Next time will park well clear and have tug do final aircraft positioning.
