Narrative:
The gate agent informed us the aircraft we arrived in yesterday had to be ferried to atl due to a panel on the landing gear door having a hole in it. Having examined a picture of the damage we were unable to tell if it was caused by a bird strike or ground incident. On the flight from atl to ric, the aircraft flew normally and we didn't hit any birds we knew of.
