Narrative:
I was cleared to taxi to runway 33. Although not specified, normal taxi from my location to runway 33 would be via taxiway left. Taxiway D parallels runway 33 and intersects taxiway left. Ground control did mention other taxiing traffic. The other aircraft, a piper warrior, taxied through the intersection. I doubt that they ever saw me. I know the aircraft is used for training. They were probably doing taxi backs because pmp does not allow touch and goes on wkends. When I saw the other aircraft, I braked to a complete stop, anything short would have resulted in a collision. It appeared that the person in the right seat was leaning forward pointing to something. If it was an instructor, he was blocking the pilot's view and probably distracting him. I advised pmp ground of the situation. There was a pregnant pause on the radio and then 'thanks.' I think the instructor picked a poor time to be pointing out something to his student. Fortunately no one was injured.

Title: PLT OF SINGLE ENG ACFT BRAKES TO A STOP TO AVOID CONFLICTING GND TFC AT PMP.
Narrative: I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 33. ALTHOUGH NOT SPECIFIED, NORMAL TAXI FROM MY LOCATION TO RWY 33 WOULD BE VIA TXWY L. TXWY D PARALLELS RWY 33 AND INTERSECTS TXWY L. GND CTL DID MENTION OTHER TAXIING TFC. THE OTHER ACFT, A PIPER WARRIOR, TAXIED THROUGH THE INTXN. I DOUBT THAT THEY EVER SAW ME. I KNOW THE ACFT IS USED FOR TRAINING. THEY WERE PROBABLY DOING TAXI BACKS BECAUSE PMP DOES NOT ALLOW TOUCH AND GOES ON WKENDS. WHEN I SAW THE OTHER ACFT, I BRAKED TO A COMPLETE STOP, ANYTHING SHORT WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A COLLISION. IT APPEARED THAT THE PERSON IN THE R SEAT WAS LEANING FORWARD POINTING TO SOMETHING. IF IT WAS AN INSTRUCTOR, HE WAS BLOCKING THE PLT'S VIEW AND PROBABLY DISTRACTING HIM. I ADVISED PMP GND OF THE SIT. THERE WAS A PREGNANT PAUSE ON THE RADIO AND THEN 'THANKS.' I THINK THE INSTRUCTOR PICKED A POOR TIME TO BE POINTING OUT SOMETHING TO HIS STUDENT. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS INJURED.
