Narrative:

Landed runway 28R. Instructions were to expedite beyond runway 1L/right on rollout, exit and hold short of runway 28L. Aircraft crossed over hold short line runway 28L. After parking at gate, I called tower supervisor to apologize and was advised that no conflict existed (no separation lost). The mistake was mine, not tower's or first officer's. Tower supervisor advised no follow-up action would occur. Supplemental information from acn 429875: when I knew we were definitely about to cross onto runway 28L, I said hold short and the captain instantly knew we were entering runway 28L. He stopped, but our nose was a few ft into the runway. An aircraft on short final went around and we were cleared to cross. Apparently the captain had just forgotten the clearance -- he knew where we were.

Title: CAPT OF A B757 STOPPED PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE RESULTING IN TWR CTLR SENDING AROUND ANOTHER ACFT ON SHORT FINAL.

Narrative: LANDED RWY 28R. INSTRUCTIONS WERE TO EXPEDITE BEYOND RWY 1L/R ON ROLLOUT, EXIT AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 28L. ACFT CROSSED OVER HOLD SHORT LINE RWY 28L. AFTER PARKING AT GATE, I CALLED TWR SUPVR TO APOLOGIZE AND WAS ADVISED THAT NO CONFLICT EXISTED (NO SEPARATION LOST). THE MISTAKE WAS MINE, NOT TWR'S OR FO'S. TWR SUPVR ADVISED NO FOLLOW-UP ACTION WOULD OCCUR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 429875: WHEN I KNEW WE WERE DEFINITELY ABOUT TO CROSS ONTO RWY 28L, I SAID HOLD SHORT AND THE CAPT INSTANTLY KNEW WE WERE ENTERING RWY 28L. HE STOPPED, BUT OUR NOSE WAS A FEW FT INTO THE RWY. AN ACFT ON SHORT FINAL WENT AROUND AND WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS. APPARENTLY THE CAPT HAD JUST FORGOTTEN THE CLRNC -- HE KNEW WHERE WE WERE.
