Narrative:
After pushback from gate xy, we called ramp for taxi and ramp would not reply. It was quiet and there appeared to be no traffic. Brakes were off, so we were slowly moving away from the gate when ramp called and said they had not told us to taxi.

Title: AN MD SUPER 80 AFTER PUSHBACK SLOWLY MOVES AWAY FROM THE GATE WITHOUT RAMP CTL DIRECTIVE.
Narrative: AFTER PUSHBACK FROM GATE XY, WE CALLED RAMP FOR TAXI AND RAMP WOULD NOT REPLY. IT WAS QUIET AND THERE APPEARED TO BE NO TFC. BRAKES WERE OFF, SO WE WERE SLOWLY MOVING AWAY FROM THE GATE WHEN RAMP CALLED AND SAID THEY HAD NOT TOLD US TO TAXI.
