Narrative:

Departed sfb on runway 27R. Cleared for straight out climb. Advised controller I was going to hwo. Controller was busy and I continued to climb to 2500 ft. I contacted controller at sfb and asked if I could start my turn. She advised she forgot me, apologized and ok'ed my turn and advised me to contact orl. I made a left turn at 2500 ft and tuned radio to talk to orl. He advised me to stay out of the class B airspace. I was already in the airspace. He also told me to climb to 3000 ft and squawk a transponder code. I did tune my transponder to that code. He then came back and told me that he had said to stay out of the class B, then he asked me why I was at 3000 ft. I told him he told me to do so. He then became very angry and started shouting and he asked me if I wanted to bet money on it. I couldn't believe that this was even happening. Just to calm him down, I told him I was sorry and it was all my fault. He then handed me off to patrick AFB, in which that controller was very helpful. This same controller I listened to on the way down from 4a0 to hwo earlier in the week. He was giving another pilot a hard time. I know that it's possible that I am wrong in not knowing how to act or conduct myself in a high traffic area, but I also know that they are government employees and they need to conduct themselves in a more polite and helpful manner. After all, the more a pilot is frustrated, the more mistakes that can be made. I did not need to get into a shouting contest in the air. My passenger safety is my main concern. I would like a response from this. Like I said, I could be wrong. But the controller is also wrong for trying to start something while I'm trying to fly. This will be followed up by a call to orlando quality control department to get a copy of the tape. Thanks in advance for your time. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter admits that after listening to ATC tapes he was not at the altitude he was instructed to maintain by ATC and that he was in error. He also stated that he has learned a valuable lesson from this incident and will be even more attentive to ATC instructions and ask questions if there is any doubt to the controller's intention.

Title: PVT PLT DEPARTING SFB ENTERED CLASS B AIRSPACE WITHOUT CLRNC AND BELIEVED THAT ATC CTLR BEHAVED IN UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER.

Narrative: DEPARTED SFB ON RWY 27R. CLRED FOR STRAIGHT OUT CLB. ADVISED CTLR I WAS GOING TO HWO. CTLR WAS BUSY AND I CONTINUED TO CLB TO 2500 FT. I CONTACTED CTLR AT SFB AND ASKED IF I COULD START MY TURN. SHE ADVISED SHE FORGOT ME, APOLOGIZED AND OK'ED MY TURN AND ADVISED ME TO CONTACT ORL. I MADE A L TURN AT 2500 FT AND TUNED RADIO TO TALK TO ORL. HE ADVISED ME TO STAY OUT OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE. I WAS ALREADY IN THE AIRSPACE. HE ALSO TOLD ME TO CLB TO 3000 FT AND SQUAWK A XPONDER CODE. I DID TUNE MY XPONDER TO THAT CODE. HE THEN HANDED ME OFF TO PATRICK AFB, IN WHICH THAT CTLR WAS VERY HELPFUL. THIS SAME CTLR I LISTENED TO ON THE WAY DOWN FROM 4A0 TO HWO EARLIER IN THE WK. HE WAS GIVING ANOTHER PLT A HARD TIME. I KNOW THAT IT'S POSSIBLE THAT I AM WRONG IN NOT KNOWING HOW TO ACT OR CONDUCT MYSELF IN A HIGH TFC AREA, BUT I ALSO KNOW THAT THEY ARE GOV EMPLOYEES AND THEY NEED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A MORE POLITE AND HELPFUL MANNER. AFTER ALL, THE MORE A PLT IS FRUSTRATED, THE MORE MISTAKES THAT CAN BE MADE. I DID NOT NEED TO GET INTO A SHOUTING CONTEST IN THE AIR. MY PAX SAFETY IS MY MAIN CONCERN. I WOULD LIKE A RESPONSE FROM THIS. LIKE I SAID, I COULD BE WRONG. BUT THE CTLR IS ALSO WRONG FOR TRYING TO START SOMETHING WHILE I'M TRYING TO FLY. THIS WILL BE FOLLOWED UP BY A CALL TO ORLANDO QUALITY CTL DEPT TO GET A COPY OF THE TAPE. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR ADMITS THAT AFTER LISTENING TO ATC TAPES HE WAS NOT AT THE ALT HE WAS INSTRUCTED TO MAINTAIN BY ATC AND THAT HE WAS IN ERROR. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE HAS LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON FROM THIS INCIDENT AND WILL BE EVEN MORE ATTENTIVE TO ATC INSTRUCTIONS AND ASK QUESTIONS IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT TO THE CTLR'S INTENTION.
