Narrative:

Passenger was in unassigned seat. When assigned passenger arrived unassigned passenger got a little verbal and I checked to see what the problem was. She said she had made these reservations last jul/98 and was assigned seats together. When she arrived at the gate she and her husband were reassigned to aft rows xx and xy and separated. I told her to please come forward and we would take care of her problem with the agent. She came forward and I turned her over to the agent and went back to my boarding duties. That was the end of my involvement with the incident. If the agents were aware of the problem prior to boarding, the problem should have been resolved before letting the passenger board. I am assuming they were not, in which case, after hearing what happened, it was handled exactly as it should have been.
