Narrative:
Cruising at FL290 from rno to las, we were given the clearance to cross fuzzy intersection at 16000 ft. The clearance was given 60 NM from fuzzy. Told ZLA we 'would be high, do you want us to spin 360 or turn?' ZLA said 'let me hand you off to approach.' we were handed off to las approach. They said nothing and told us to descend to 11000 ft. We missed fuzzy by 1500 ft but we were descending at 5000 FPM. The rest was uneventful. I had just finished a 3 day evening trip when I picked up this 2 day. It was the last leg of a 5 day sequence for me and I was tired. Not so tired I couldn't fly, but not as sharp as I should have been. I feel like I just made a mental error that neither I nor the captain caught. I guess we were relying on the box too much. I thought I had more time and distance, but I didn't. I think clrncs given too far away can make you complacent. And that's what hit me. Las approach said that they had no problems not to worry about it, but I will submit my error anyway!
